"Tenemos que despertarnos" Hördur Torfason, activista de la "Revolución silenciosa" de Islandia se encuentra en España, conociendo en persona el movimiento 15M

Este cantante islandés, impulsor de las principales reivindicaciones de la Revolución Silenciosa, ha llegado hasta el final, siguiendo por el momento en la lucha para que no sea el pueblo quién pague la crisis en la que se encuentra inmerso su país. Islandia se encuentra en su tercer año de revolución, manteniendo firmes sus reivindicaciones, entre ellas combatir la corrupción política y juzgar a los verdaderos causantes de la crisis.

The government finally resigned and along with it the Board of the Financial Supervisory Authority. Two demands met and one left; The board of The national bank. That took few more weeks and that over and done with it was time for me to disappear. Many people wanted to continue the protest meetings and they wanted me to be in charge but I was not interested, my part was done, at least for now, so I offered them to take over and I arranged one meeting for them at 14th of march and told the people interested in keeping the protests running that they could take over after that. In my heart I knew these people would not be able to keep the protest meetings running and there were various reasons why. It is a full time voluntary job, it had to be done by only one person who was not involved in any political party and had good experience in organizing and that person had to be able to take all the cruel personal attacks. I did not know any person meeting those demands here in Iceland.
